Autumn Nerikiri Collection
Celebrate the beauty of autumn in Japan through a collection of handcrafted nerikiri inspired by the season’s flowers, fruits and foliage.
Kikyō (Japanese bellflower) — a classic late-summer to autumn flower, traditionally associated with Japan’s seasonal landscape and one of the plants featured among the Aki no Nanakusa, the Seven Flowers of Autumn.
Persimmon (Kaki) — a quintessential autumn fruit, often featured in seasonal Japanese sweets and harvest displays.
Autumn leaves (Momiji) — perhaps the most recognisable expression of kōyō, the changing colours of autumn, symbolising the fleeting beauty of the season.
Chrysanthemum (Kiku) — an important autumn flower in Japan, long associated with the season, symbolising health, nobility and longevity.
Osmanthus (Kinmokusei) — its delicate golden blossoms and sweet fragrance are strongly associated with the arrival of autumn.
Ginkgo (Ichō) — its brilliant golden leaves are a distinctive sight of late autumn in Japan.
Together, these motifs capture the colours, fragrance and quiet beauty of autumn — a season cherished in Japanese culture and beautifully expressed through nerikiri.
