XMAS Nerikiri Workshop + Tea Pairing
Craft your very own traditional Christmas themed Japanese Nerikiri
This is an adults-only workshop. Immerse yourself in this interactive & fully hands-on Nerikiri workshop. Learn to craft your very own traditional Japanese nerikiri & take home your beautiful works of edible art to enjoy with friends & family! Workshop Location: CAMELLIA 茗岩 Tea Bar, at Katong Square Date: Saturdays, November & December. Time: 2pm - 5pm Participants must be age 13 & above. Contact us if you'd like to arrange for a weekday class (minimum 2 pax), or private class. Class size is limited to 6 pax per session, to maximize individual attention & guidance. In this workshop, you will learn: - A brief history of wagashi & the culture behind this traditional art form. - The significance of various seasonal Nerikiri designs - Handling, shaping & crafting techniques - Troubleshooting: Tips & tricks - Step-by-step guidance to create 2 signature Winter & Xmas Nerikiri designs - Bring home your beautiful edible works of art (total 4 pieces)! Enjoy a specially curated Wagashi x Tea Pairing at the end of the session <Includes 1 nerikiri(Mikan filling, crafted by you) & 2-3 complimentary seasonal wagashi & a well-deserved top running tea from Camellia Tea Bar's 2024 Signature collection. After this workshop, you will be able to recreate your very own tea experience at home with your friends, family & cherished ones! <This workshop is suitable for beginners, no prior knowledge is required> <This is a fun & short basic workshop, focusing only on nerikiri CRAFTING & having fun!
