Ignite your child's interest & curiosity in traditional Japanese culture and immerse yourself in this interactive & fully hands-on Nerikiri workshop. Learn the history and meaning behind these intricate japanese sweets, and craft your very own beautiful wagashi with your child in this workshop focusing on bonding, creativity & teamwork! Workshop Location: CAMELLIA 茗岩 Tea Bar, at Katong Square Workshop fee is per parent-child pair. Date: Saturdays & Sundays in November & December. Time: 10.30am-1pm, or 2pm-4.30pm Class size is limited to 4 parent-child pairs per session(8 pax), to maximize individual attention & guidance. Contact us if you'd like to arrange for a weekday class (minimum 2 pax), or a private parent+child class. In this workshop, you will learn: - A brief history of wagashi & the culture behind this traditional art form. - The significance of various seasonal Nerikiri designs - Handling, shaping & crafting techniques - Troubleshooting: Tips & tricks - Step-by-step guidance to create 4 fun Xmas/Winter Nerikiri designs - Bring home your beautiful edible works of art! For kids aged 5 to 12. Once your booking is confirmed, no refunds or transfers to another class will be given. Payment will be fully forfeited regardless of the unforeseen circumstances.
