Immerse yourself in this interactive & fully hands-on Spring-themed workshop. Learn to craft your very own traditional Japanese nerikiri & take home your beautiful works of edible art to enjoy with friends & family! Dates: (Saturdays) 15 April or 29 April Time: 11am - 3pm Or, 22 April, 2pm - 6pm Participants must be age 12 & above. Feel free to contact us if you'd like to arrange a weekday class! In this workshop, you will learn: - A brief history of wagashi & the culture behind this traditional art form. - The significance of various seasonal Nerikiri designs - How to truly appreciate wagashi - How to make traditional nerikiri & preparation of nerikiri dough from scratch (Demo & Recipes provided) - Fundamentals of handling, shaping & crafting techniques - Troubleshooting: Tips & tricks - Step-by-step guidance to create 4 Spring nerikiri designs - Bring home your beautiful edible works of art! *This workshop is suitable for beginners, no prior knowledge is required. **All tools and equipment will be provided for use during the workshop. Class size is limited, to maximize individual attention & guidance.
